The Euzière Fontanès is located 25 kilometers north of Montpellier, in the heart of Terroir Pic Saint Loup, the jewel of Languedoc wines. The family has history in the winemaking business with grandfathers on both sides of the family working in wine; one in a wine brokerage house, the other was a winemaker.
In the early 1900s the family moved to Fontanès on the field of Euzière, and dealt with their share of crises before they ever found success. Now their wines are sold the world over to satisfy tastes for fine French wine.
Chateau L’Euziere is available exclusively at Kensington Wine Market.
Château La Negly
The two rosés from Château La Negly, made from Grenache Noir, Syrah Cinsault and Mouvèdre, have very different profiles.
L’Ecume, (Sea Foam) a wine produced from direct pressing, is a festive beverage great for summer evening parties.
La Natice, (Moon Snail), a rosé de saignee or a rosé d’une nuit, is destined to accompany a gastronomic meal. It is irresistible and fresh with raspberry and peach aromas. It has a pretty silhouette, a pale robe and is aromatic on the mouth. It will accompany any meal, try it with a Zarzuela (Traditional Catalan Fish Stew).
Chateau La Negly is available exclusively at J Webb Wine Merchant.
The history of this vineyard dates back into the 1300’s. Records from the region first mention the Château’s existence as early as 1342. Located near the sea and amidst ancient terroir and a gorgeous climate, you can taste the earth in the wines of Château Ricardelle.
More recently, owner Bruno Pellegrini has set out to restoring and reinvigorating the winery and vineyard, and he’s been successful in this venture. Chateau Ricardelle produces a variety of wines from reds, to whites and rose. Pellegrini’s vision is for a winery that uses traditional methods, combines with a great respect for the environment to create wonderfully drinkable wines that will evoke memories of his historic land.

With a winemaking tradition that dates back to the 1500’s you know something must be very right at the Domaine Girard vineyard. The winery has deep roots in the small community of Savigny,
Pernand-Vergelesses and Volnay in the Languedoc region of southern France. The Girard family still runs the farming and wine making operations to this day, helmed by Jean-Jacques Girard and his children.
The higher elevation of the Girard vineyards lend a freshness to the wines and they pair well with a variety of foods.
Domaine Girard is available at J Webb Wine Merchant
Domaine Calmel & Joseph
Calmel & Joseph says its mission is to create wines with “a harmonious balance of fruit and freshness that will enable the wine to develop in an exciting way“.
Exciting is the name of the game at this southern France establishment; the proprietors love experimenting with unknown or little known grape varieties which they say often takes them into uncharted taste territory.
Founded in 1995, Calmel & Joseph specializes in acquiring Languedoc-Roussillon wines from private wineries across the region then blending them to perfection. One estate Calmel and Joseph works with produces both wine and olives while another still uses horses to do some of the tilling of the fields.
The wines from Domaine Calmel & Joseph are often unique and special. You can find their selections at Metrovino
