Spain

Spain is the 3rd largest producer of wine and the top exporter in the world. The majority of production is in a region called La Mancha located south of Madrid. With over 400 grape varietals planted in the country, Spain's most widely planted red grape is Tempranillo followed closely by Garnacha. Spain is known for its sparkling wine called Cava, which is made in traditional method and commonly a blend of three indigenous white grape varietals.
